 Laila, Brooke, and Brittany recorded a commercial for the LaBranche Wetland Watchers and then Mr. Guillot, Laila and Brooke were interviewed as guests on the Disney Radio Kids Concerns talk show. Brooke and Laila wrote an essay about the Wetland Watchers last year as part of an award nomination. The Hurst Middle Labranche Wetland Watchers service-learning project was honored with the National Youth Leadership State Farm Youth Leadership Service-Learning Award. Brooke and Laila were part of a contigent that flew to Philadelphia to accept the award. Dring the ceremony, teacher Barry Guillot, Laila, and Brooke were able to speak to over 3000 people representing all 50 states and 41 countries!
